This year I finally went to the people's festival on time and I brought my camera! Which it good for you, because you can now relive the awesomeness vicariously through the photos and video. It was a 100% Awesome day!
We Don't Believe in You.

A Philadelphia Reggae Band at the People's Festival

He had the coolest outfit in the entire band

Even the old guy rocked!

Khaleif Khadafi, the lead vocalist/rapper

I like his gold Sankofa on red t-shirt.

He works at my school and is an awesome drummer!

I see this man all of the time in front of FYE

He is a very good vocalist, I always enjoy his performances

This is the coolest man on the fucking planet!

As I said before I like his outfit. I've never seen anything like it. He plays the tamborine, the bongos and various other instruments. He is a talented person.

Another shot of the grey haired rasta.

A group shot with most of the members.

Dropping knowledge for the masses.

I like his airbrushed shirt.

Another group shot with a different mix.

I thought this photo would be cute. I wish I could have go a better shot.

When I first arrived the place was pretty empty so you could pick prime real estate and watch your investment flourish. The had pretty much the best seats in the house.

The Shops are always filled with exotic items, fragrances and jewelry. The quality is always top notch.

My good friend Issac on his phone, I see him every year at this festival. His family coordinated and started the People's festivals. His Recycle t-shirt is pretty cool too. I think I might make one, it will be awesome.

The talented reggae vocalist wearing a "Guerrilla Republick: Est. 1794" t-shirt.

The female vocalist had wonderful floral dress. It reminded me of a flower I've photographed.

They also have African dancers perform every year as well. The children are always top notch and well disciplined.

The beautiful women wore extraordinary costumes and were the stars of the show. Their energetic dance and drum routine captivated audience.

His solo was great! It is alway inspiring to see a child perform at such a high level.

The crowd gathered quickly as the dancers were in full swing. I was doing V.I.P Security so I couldn't move too far from my location.

The person on stilts has always been a crowd favorite and one of mine as well.

The stilts are almost a guaranteed way to gather a large crowd quickly.

Not long after I was relieved of security duty I had to go to a family function that was also scheduled for that day. So we exchanged contact info, said our farewells and snapped a photo.

After attending my family's BBQ get together I returned with just enough time to snap a few more photographs and say farewell again.

They were some of the final performers keeping the festival alive.

I couldn't find Issac, but I did find his sister...

The first picture came out dark so I decided to change the settings to see if it would work better.

Well the night time settings showed up better, they were just to blurry to work out.

After a few unsuccessful attempts of getting some one to take a photo of us we decided to take matters into our own hands. Now here we are with a classic MySpace-esque photo.
Also just in case you were wondering where is it the festival is located and always has been at:
Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park Water & S French St. Wilmington, DE 19801
