Introducing a local Philadelphia celebrity, The Crazy Lady! We don't know her name, but we do she is definitely with out shadow of a doubt CRAZY AS HELL!!!
Jessica Mauboy is Fucking Gorgeous! (more like dream girl) I am now definitely a fan, her music is consistently good and she very easy on the eyes as well! In addtion to her amaizing ability she has also teamed up with the one and only Flo Rida. Flo Rida was once a contender, but has now risen to new heights I chose this song because it is the perfect song to explain my "Summer Vacation" from blogging.
P.S. I love her beautiful smile!!! And teeth are cute too! :)
I've found another kick ass band, well errrr actually they found me, they sent me a friend request on MySpace. Usually I just click DENY! because I'm tired of the lame, wack ass rappers and their cookie cutter, generic beats, lyrics, thug, gangsta, fake personas. And I love hip-hop! I hurts my soul to see what it has devolved to, it is getting better, but I digress. The band is called Love Pink Pony and I checked there page out, I was definitely impressed. Here is a video they have on youtube.
If you liked the video, you can add them as friends on MySpace - Love Pink Pony
Also you can check out my personal page on MySpace, I've haven't created a egad apparel one yet. - Kage-Maru
I've finally found that "Mystery Song" that has been a defacto "Rave Anthem," it also happens to have been created by one of my new found favorites Zombie Nation! Trust me anyone who has been to a real party will recognize this song.
This year I finally went to the people's festival on time and I brought my camera! Which it good for you, because you can now relive the awesomeness vicariously through the photos and video. It was a 100% Awesome day!
We Don't Believe in You.
A Philadelphia Reggae Band at the People's Festival
He is a very good vocalist, I always enjoy his performances
This is the coolest man on the fucking planet!
As I said before I like his outfit. I've never seen anything like it. He plays the tamborine, the bongos and various other instruments. He is a talented person.
Another shot of the grey haired rasta.
A group shot with most of the members.
Dropping knowledge for the masses.
I like his airbrushed shirt.
Another group shot with a different mix.
I thought this photo would be cute. I wish I could have go a better shot.
When I first arrived the place was pretty empty so you could pick prime real estate and watch your investment flourish. The had pretty much the best seats in the house.
The Shops are always filled with exotic items, fragrances and jewelry. The quality is always top notch.
My good friend Issac on his phone, I see him every year at this festival. His family coordinated and started the People's festivals. His Recycle t-shirt is pretty cool too. I think I might make one, it will be awesome.
The talented reggae vocalist wearing a "Guerrilla Republick: Est. 1794" t-shirt.
The female vocalist had wonderful floral dress. It reminded me of a flower I've photographed.
They also have African dancers perform every year as well. The children are always top notch and well disciplined.
The beautiful women wore extraordinary costumes and were the stars of the show. Their energetic dance and drum routine captivated audience.
His solo was great! It is alway inspiring to see a child perform at such a high level.
The crowd gathered quickly as the dancers were in full swing. I was doing V.I.P Security so I couldn't move too far from my location.
The person on stilts has always been a crowd favorite and one of mine as well.
The stilts are almost a guaranteed way to gather a large crowd quickly.
Not long after I was relieved of security duty I had to go to a family function that was also scheduled for that day. So we exchanged contact info, said our farewells and snapped a photo.
After attending my family's BBQ get together I returned with just enough time to snap a few more photographs and say farewell again.
They were some of the final performers keeping the festival alive.
I couldn't find Issac, but I did find his sister...
The first picture came out dark so I decided to change the settings to see if it would work better.
Well the night time settings showed up better, they were just to blurry to work out.
After a few unsuccessful attempts of getting some one to take a photo of us we decided to take matters into our own hands. Now here we are with a classic MySpace-esque photo.
Also just in case you were wondering where is it the festival is located and always has been at:
Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park Water & S French St. Wilmington, DE 19801
Michael "The King of Pop" Jackson is dead at the age of 50! Yes, I am shocked too! I can't believe it, one minute I hear about his come back tour and awaiting to hear more good news then the next I hear that he died of a heart attack. What an awful turn of events.
I have been a casual fan of Michael Jackson fan for years (Just like everyone else) and this has completely caught me off guard, even now as I type and reading CNN's coverage I can't freaking believe it. He's dead!?
Currently there is much curiosity and speculation about the actual causes of Michael Jackson's death. Though it is a fact that Michael Jackson had a cardiac arrest and fell in to a coma the true cause were not given due to the recency of his death. An autopsy has not been done nor scheduled yet. But considering that he was relatively healthy at the time of his death (unfortunately today. 06.25.09) and planning to go on tour, I believe that there are other reasons he has passed away.
"Jackson began taking painkillers, Valium, Xanax and Ativan to deal with the stress of the allegations made against him. By the fall of 1993, Jackson was addicted to the drugs. His health deteriorated to the extent that he canceled the remainder of the Dangerous World Tour and went into drug rehabilitation for a few months."
Also taking in to consideration the emotional and frustrated tone of voice Michael Jackson's attorney Brian Oxford on CNN, stated that "Michael Jackson was surrounded by enablers" and that he "had warned against this kind of thing and that he was taking too many medications."
Despite the unfortunate events that has unfolded, Michael Jackson is still the greatest of all time.
Today I decided to post up all of the pictures that I didn't post because the weather was lame. You know standard Philadelphia weather. Grey miserable skies
I Love Deep House! It is a newly "discovered" genre to me and I'm enjoying the new artist that I find. Let It Go (D.O.N.S. & DBN Remix) is a hot track. Also, if you have any suggested artist that I should listen to just leave a comment below, I'll be sure to answer you.
As I've predicted, The 2009 Penn Relays Carnival was the best ever in history! I have the photos to prove it and the records broken today speaks for themselves! Today's event was 100% Awesome from beginning to end!
On a side note Usain Bolt was not reported to have attended the relays, I feel sorry for him because he missed so much awesomeness.
As I walked to the stadium it didn't seem that many people were there.
As I got closer, I realize how wrong I was.
The corridors were jam packed with enthusiastic fans and hot as hell.
They had a very good lead.
It was a good day to run.
The crowd was in awe of the runners.
The women were off to a great start, their race was exciting!
Jamaica takes the lead.
The Jamaican women showed early dominance.
USA Blue pushes ahead of Jamaica.
It was a close race, but USA Blue won.
This photo would have been awesome if some guys hand wasn't in the way.
Jamaica takes first place.
I was in a sea of black, gold and green. Jamaica all the way!
The weather was beautiful! Just the way I like it, nice and hot!
A female runner for USA Blue warming up and preparing for her race.
My friend liked his braids, I thought his sun glasses were pretty cool too.
Bahamas and USA Blue females warming up for there next race.
The hurdlers were great!
The pole vaulting competition was held during the other races, unfortunately I didn't notice until it was almost over.
No thats not blond hair, its gray!
These were the oldest racers in the competition, some were in their 70's. There crowd and I gave them the credit they deserve.
The USA Red team lead the way.
USA Red still ahead of the pack.
After the first lap, USA Red maintained its position and won the race.
The Penn Relay High School competition was very competitive.
The baton races were very exciting.
Platoon Fitness: Daily Out Door Classes, 1-888-752-8666 Call Now! I'm thinking about joining.
That concludes my photo journal of the Penn Relays, I'll be there again next year at the 2010 Penn Relays Carnival and I'm hustling t-shirts!
Will Usain Bolt be at the Penn Relays 2009? I have no fucking idea! (hmmm... maybe I should add an explicit language tag...) What I do know is that everybody on the planet that knows about the Penn Relays has been asking this damn question or at least let the thought cross their minds more that once. Its perfectly reasonable considering as I said "before"Jamaica will be bringing the pain! If you're not on your "A" game and you're running against Jamaica you might as well forget it! Hey, I'm not discouraging anyone from competing, I'm just letting everyone know that competition will be FIERCE! Which means for the spectators (you and I) that this year's Penn Relay will the the best relay in history! (100% Awessome!)
I really can't wait to go and I already have my "Unofficial Penn Relays" uniform on standby. Whats a "Unofficial Penn Relays" uniform you ask? Well thanks for asking, here is list of items you will need to attend the 2009 Penn Relays.
Hey if you can't find any thing Jamaican or that's not you thing thats fine as long as you have fun, thats all that matters. See you soon and stay Awesome!
